What Is Minky Fabric?
Minky fabric is a premium plush fabric made from 100% polyester microfiber, prized for its incredibly soft, silky feel. Often called “Minky fleece,” it’s a favorite for baby blankets, personalized blankets, and throws — thicker, smoother, and more durable than standard fleece, and resistant to shrinking, fading, and pilling.

How Do You Wash a Minky Blanket?
Proper care keeps your Minky blanket soft and beautiful for years.
Wash your blanket by itself in cold water on the delicate or gentle cycle. On the first wash, add 1/4 cup of baking soda instead of detergent to remove any manufacturing residue without weighing down the fibers. After that, a fragrance-free, dye-free detergent works great, and adding 1/2 cup of white vinegar to the rinse cycle (in place of fabric softener) helps keep the fibers soft wash after wash.
To dry, hang the blanket to air dry or tumble dry on the no-heat or air-fluff setting. Avoid fabric softener, bleach, high heat, and dyed or heavily fragranced detergents — they break down the plush texture over time.
Are Your Blankets Handmade?
Absolutely! Every blanket is made by hand in our North Carolina workshop, not on a factory assembly line. Each order is individually cut, sewn, and inspected by skilled makers who take pride in their work.
Handmaking each blanket takes more time than mass production, but it means you’re receiving a blanket made specifically for you, not something pulled off a warehouse shelf.
Can I Customize My Blanket?
Yes! Many of our blankets can be personalized with a name, monogram, embroidery, or custom color and fabric combination — look for the customization options on the product page before adding to cart. If you don’t see the option you’re looking for, reach out and we’ll let you know what’s possible.
How Do I Track My Order?
Once your blanket ships, you’ll receive an email with a tracking number and a link to follow your package right to your door. If you don’t see it, check your spam folder — and if you still can’t find it, just reach out and we’ll help.
How Much Does Shipping Cost?
We offer free standard shipping on all orders within the continental United States. Need it sooner? Expedited options are available at checkout. We also ship internationally, with rates calculated automatically based on your destination.
How Long Does It Take to Ship My Order?
Most orders are handcrafted and ready to ship within 3–5 business days, though many go out sooner — ready-to-ship items typically leave the next business day.
Your estimated delivery date includes both our production time and the carrier’s transit time. Once a package is in the carrier’s hands, delivery delays, loss, or damage are handled through the carrier’s claims process — but reach out if anything goes wrong and we’ll help however we can.
Returns & Exchanges
Your blanket is handcrafted just for you, and every order is carefully inspected before it ships. If you receive a blanket with a manufacturing defect, let us know within 30 days of delivery and we’ll review it for a replacement (or a comparable design if yours is no longer available).
You’re responsible for return shipping on the original blanket; we cover shipping on the replacement. Because every blanket is custom made and personalized, we’re unable to accept returns for refunds, cancellations, or exchanges due to ordering mistakes, personalization errors, or a change of mind.
